TDI works with the following institutions:
Governments
We provide advisory and technical services to governments around the world, at the regional, national and local levels, to support strategic planning and implementation for sustainable tourism development and marketing.
Donors
We work with international governments, multilateral financial institutions, and other donors who are providing technical assistance in planning and implementing programs for poverty alleviation, economic diversification and environmental conservation, including the Inter-American Development Bank, USAID, and others.
Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs)
We collaborate with both international conservation and development NGOs as well as with respective in-country local NGOs to support relevant components of programs that address poverty alleviation, socio-economic development, community empowerment, small business development and environmental conservation.
Private Sector Companies
We work with a variety of consulting firms, including those that manage large development projects in agriculture, infrastructure, watershed management, conservation, education, and others. We also work with hoteliers, resorts, and other tourism service providers to help in planning for sustainable tourism development and with tourism related SMEs to participate in the tourism system with sustainable practices.
